The alarm clock goes off around
9am and we are both to sleepy to wake up so we use Robert’s most commonly used phrase of five more minutes and then again another five more minutes and so on
and so on, till the clock is half past ten and maybe it would be good to wake
up.
Still I don’t feel like going out of the bed, so I role on the other side and lull back to sleep. I don’t know for how long I was sleeping (just 10minutes) but Robert is there with a cup of coffee, he leans down and kisses me and whispers happy first part of our anniversary.
We seat in the bed drinking
coffee, eating breakfast and snuggling with Mr. Jack, everything is perfect.
When we finally peal out of bed, we get dressed and take Jack for a nice walk,
we stop in grocery shops and we grab a cup of coffee in Nick’s coffee.
When we came back I prepared
lunch, eggs and sausages and everything that goes along. I’m full and still
sleepy so Robert suggested a little nap while he goes to try out his new skateboard.
Honestly that sounded perfect so I go for it.
I got interrupted in my dreams by
keys in the lock and I know it is Robert, he comes in the room with this big
bouquet of red roses, my favourite, he leans down, kisses me and wishes me
happy anniversary again. He gives me the bouquet and says, “Well the present is
something for the both of us.”
I cheerfully check the envelope
and there is a yearly membership for gym, something I’ve been talking to do for
a while. He smiles and adds a good wife needs to cook good but also needs to
look good.
I like the new slogan.
